7 Unknown Things About Vaping

The vaping craze has been around for years. However, there’s still plenty of information about the practice that remains unknown.

Whether you’ve recently joined the vaping trend or have years of vaping experience up your sleeve, there will always be new vaping-related information to learn. Read on as we unravel the seven unknown things about vaping.

Vaping Doesn’t Involve Combustion

This is probably the most basic fact about vaping. Interestingly, it’s a fact that many people (including new vapers) are yet to grasp fully.

Today, vaping is the act of inhaling the vapor produced after vaporizing herbal blends in a particular gadget known as a vaporizer. A vaporizer goes by many other names, including an electronic cigarette (e-cigarette or e-cig) and vape device.

Most vaporizers contain four essential components.

The first two include a vape tank to administer the herbal extracts and a battery that powers the device. A coil also transfers the heat generated by the storm from the heating chamber to the vaping materials, usually using a wick. Lastly, there’s the drip tip or mouthpiece, the pointed uppermost part of a vaporizer that you suck into to draw heated vapor into your mouth.

All Vaporizers Are Not Made Equal

Vaporizers come in all shapes and sizes. Your ultimate choice of a suitable vaporizer depends on your experience level and budget needs.

The most basic e-cigs are known as cigalikes. These gadgets are considered first-generation vaporizers and are recommended for beginners. Cigalikes are noted for their simplistic design and relative affordability. Most of these devices are disposable. They come with a pre-filled, single-use vape tank and a pre-charged, non-rechargeable battery.

Besides cigalikes, other common vaporizer types include vape pens, vape mods, and box mods.

The continued growth of the vaping industry has led to the introduction of more cutting-edge devices, such as DynaVaps. DynaVap is essentially a battery-free vaporizer. The device is mainly recommended for dry herb consumption.

Inhalable Herbal Blends Are Not Equal

For any vaping session to be complete, you need a vaporizer and vaping materials.

E-liquids (also known as e-juices, vape oils, or vape juices) are the most popular form in which inhalable herbs are sold. The products comprise four essential ingredients: vegetable glycerin (VG), propylene glycol (PG), nicotine, and flavorings. Each component impacts your vaping experience in a particular way.

It’s essential to tread caution when shopping for suitable herbal formulations. That’s because the selected product determines which vaporizer you can use it with. For instance, dry herbs are typically used with dry herb vaporizers, wax concentrates are intended for use with wax pens, and e-liquids work best with vape cartridges.

The Modern Vaporizer Was Invented In 2003

The modern vaporizer was invented more recently – in 2003 by a Chinese pharmacist known as Hon Lik.

Hon Lik intended his invention to serve as a better alternative to traditional nicotine delivery methods.

But as we’ve already mentioned, vaporizers are now available in numerous shapes and designs. Vaping is no longer viewed primarily as an alternative to traditional nicotine delivery methods but as a lifestyle.

The Vaping Industry Is Bullish

According to findings by Grand View Research, the global vape market was valued at USD 15.04 billion in 2020. The same research body projects that the industry might expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 28.1% from 2021 to 2018.

It’s worth noting that vaping is one of the few industries that remained thriving in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. That only goes to show how resilient the industry is.

So, if you’ve always harbored dreams of setting up a vape-related venture, now may be the ideal time to take the plunge.

Vaping Won’t Get You High, or Perhaps It Will

Vaping can get you high or not. It all depends on the specific herbal extracts you inhale.

For many years, nicotine has been a common constituent of vape materials. Although the compound is famous for its addictive nature, it doesn’t induce any ‘high.’

However, with time, nicotine has been replaced by other herbal extracts like cannabis, kratom, and mullein. These herbs contain powerful medicinal properties. But they can also trigger psychedelic effects, mainly if vaped in large quantities.

Vaping Has Attracted the Attention of Numerous Celebrities

There’s a growing list of renowned celebrities jumping onto the vaping bandwagon.

Actor Leonardo DiCaprio is arguably the most celebrity who vapes. DiCaprio has captured vaping in multiple locations, including on red carpet events like the 2016 Screen Actors Guild Award show.

Johnny Depp is another notable vaping celebrity. Some celebrities that vape includes Samuel L. Jackson, Jack Nickolson, Isla Fisher, Ben Affleck, Katherine Heigel, and others.
