GeekVape L200 Aegis Legend 2 200W Kit Review

GeekVape L200 Aegis Legend 2 200W Kit Review

The GeekVape Aegis line is famous in its own right, with the most products coming under the same family name, spanning numerous sorts of devices from double battery to the tiny Aegis Nano. As usual I got It from the vape shop.

The Aegis Legend deserves special notice from the Aegis series, especially in light of today’s evaluation.

There have been a few incarnations of the Aegis Legend, each with their own idiosyncrasies, but what matters most is how effectively they functioned and how much of a cult following they have garnered. The first Legend was a twin-battery, IP67-rated gadget designed for individuals who like to hurl their stuff around. It was not only strong, but also versatile, with a plethora of alternatives, and fashionable to boot!

Our pals at Geekvape have not only equaled but also improved on the original.

Let’s check out Geekvape’s L200 (Aegis Legend 2) kit!

The Legend 2 kit, or (L200 Kit) as it’s marketed, is a twin 18650 battery device with a maximum power of 200 Watts, much like its predecessor. It has a new IP68 certification, updated display, colors, charging port position, lock switch, is 30% lighter and 15% smaller, and has a new sub-ohm tank on top.

Geekvape’s latest iteration of their Z tank (2021) is that sub-ohm tank (formally known as the Zeus Tank).

The Z tank is a top adjustable airflow tank with a maximum 5.5ml e-liquid capacity, a 1/2 turn fill cap, support for Geekvape’s new Z coils, and an 810 drip tip with an optional straight or bubble glass included.

The Body

You’ll instantly recognize the Legend 2’s general styling, as Geekvape has made every effort to ensure that the latest version of the Legend not only resembles the original, but also carries with it the same general feel, and thus the same level of trust that users of the originals had in their devices. I don’t have the original, but the design is extremely similar; the only significant difference is that the irritating dust magnet rubber covering has been removed. Sure, if it falls, you’ll probably get a few extra dings and dents, but eliminating the rubber has reduced not just the size of the gadget, but also its weight. To top it all off, the new Legend 2 has an IP68 rating, whereas the original only had an IP67 rating.

The Legend 2 is exceptionally lightweight for its size, thanks to its construction of different polymers and a stainless steel casing. My model is light grey with a faux chrome fascia, grey panel, and grey leather heel. At first sight, it appears a bit out of place, but it is a really eye-catching combination, especially once the stainless steel tank is put into place.

On top is a 510 connector with a steel base plate and a gold-plated connecting pin that is spring-loaded. The device’s top is just 26mm broad, so you can place some pretty substantial sized tanks on here; but, due to the design, anything wider than approximately 23mm wide looks a little weird; it doesn’t overhang, but it appears to.

Charging and Batteries

A rubber flap just below the 510, off to the side, may be lifted to reveal the USB Type – C charge connector, which is utilized for charging as well as software updates.

Finally, there’s the battery bay door on the bottom of the gadget. Because this is an IP68-rated configuration, anticipate this door to be a headache to open and shut for a long. You’ll have to push the door down with a little power and slide the latch into position a few times before it finally opens. I wish things could be easier, but it is what it is. The battery connections inside the battery area are well labelled, appear to be gold plated for increased conductivity, and all batteries I’ve tried fit snugly with no rattling.

Usage and characteristics

On the front edge of the device, you’ll find your firing button, screen, and option buttons; nothing particularly new here, and the buttons themselves are the same trapezoid form as prior Aegis versions. The screen, on the other hand, is new and is now a 1.08′′ TFT Color screen, providing you a bit more area and clarity to read the info you need. The newer chip also allows you to change the screen brightness and color, as well as control the numerous choices accessible to you.

On the Legend 2, there are several options to select from, including Power, TC – Ni (Nickel), TC – Ti (Titanium), TC – SS (Stainless Steel), TC – TCR (Temperature Coefficient), VPC (Variable Power Curve), and Bypass. You can also access a slew of additional configuration choices, such as brightening, darkening, and changing the color of the display, as well as changing temperature-related parameters like resistance, wattage setting, and resetting the puff counter.
