How long does PEMF Therapy take to heal?

One of the first things that come to a person’s mind while exploring PEMF therapy is how long it will take to feel better. That is very difficult to answer because it relies on several variables. However, we can provide some reasonable estimations about when they can expect improvements in their health with the correct knowledge about the issue they are trying to solve and help them have realistic expectations.

Understanding how PEMF therapy works for various health issues is the first step in determining when someone will feel better or how many times a therapy session is needed to heal. Another important factor is the patient’s overall health. Selecting the right device is very important in getting the fastest healing and long-term sustainable results.

How often can you use PEMF Therapy?

The use of the PEMF therapy devices depends on your need and health outcome. It takes a different time duration to treat the signs and symptoms of chronic issues. Before a start, there are some basics to be aware of while using a PEMF device:

·      You can use PEMF therapy mats or devices daily

·      You can also use PEMF therapy sessions several times every day

·      In general, PEMF Complete suggests 30-minute PEMF therapy sessions twice a day

There is no time limit for PEMF therapy treatment. You can enjoy PEMF therapy sessions and PEMF therapy mats as long as you want. The electromagnetic energy used in PEMF devices is of lower frequency than most household items, that is why it is safe and has no side effects on human health.

How many PEMF sessions are needed?

For effective PEMF therapy treatment, it is important to speak with your doctor to properly identify your illness. PEMF therapy needs medium-length treatment periods. Unless the doctor allows otherwise, it is advised to perform cycles of 45–90 days with a minimum of 3 hours per day.

If necessary, the procedure can be repeated numerous times during the year. For example, in the case of joint pain arthrosis, arthritis, and osteoporosis. For osteoporosis, night therapy of several consecutive hours is also possible. However, overdosing is not a risk in this case.

According to research, the recommended application of PEMF therapy varies from one hour, for an average of 20 sessions, for chronic diseases, to 16 minutes daily sessions for health maintenance. The study aims to determine whether 20-minute session give twice a week for a total of 12 sessions will have an impact on chronic pain and/or anxiety.

For spine treatment

To treat the spine for pain conditions, a therapy session of a minimum 30 minutes twice a day on the full-body PEMF therapy mat is recommended.

To relieve daily stress

At the end of the day, a therapy session will help you to get rid of stress and you can enjoy a sound sleep. Session time may vary depending on the intensity of the system;

·      High-intensity system needs less time, about 5 minutes, although not more than 30 minutes.

·      On the other hand, it is possible to use a low-intensity system continuously overnight.

It can be very exciting to see great results within the first week or two of using a therapy session, especially when a problem has been ongoing. Other people see slower results, and the recommended course of treatment might need to be changed.

For instance, a fracture takes 8 to 12 weeks to heal where the bone can be used. And even then, recovery is not complete! According to research, PEMF therapy can speed up the healing rate for fractures, but it is not a miracle .

Hence, it is proved that there is no same timing for a therapy session to heal different health conditions. Everyone heals at a different time range, and their body works differently at each therapy. PEMF therapy is very effective to improve your health every single day, and worth it!
