The body of the battery module and the supporting structure of the tank are made of stainless steel; the transparent body of the atomizer is made of tempered glass. The bottom-air blower system allows you to adjust the air supply to the evaporator chamber with the help of an adjusting ring in the base of the tank. Nevertheless, it’s worth considering that Stick V8 device is positioned as a starter kit. The mouthpiece is wide, designed for a large volume of passing vapor, and made of Delrin – a very clever move that prevents excessive heating of the atomizer’s top.

In the absence of heating power adjustment, all control of the process is given to the electronic board packed in the lower part of the housing together with the battery. The proposed ready-made replaceable evaporators, adapted to the type of battery used, will maximize the potential of the vaping device.

Features

It’s impossible to talk about temperature control in this device because of lack of many important settings. All controls of the SMOK Stick X8 is carried out with a single “FIRE” key, with a five-clicks with which you can lock or unlock the device, in order to avoid accidental clicks during transportation or storage. To start the vaping process, it’s necessary to press and hold the button of the previously unblocked device.

The manufacturer offers a line of ready-made heating elements that are fully compatible with the evaporators of the SMOK TFV8 Big Baby line. In total, at the moment, there are six options that are suitable for use:

V8 Baby X4, the evaporator with four spirals of resistance 0.15 Ohms. It clearly reveals the taste, having enchanting abilities to generate steam;

V8 Baby T6, similar in abilities to X4, but it has six installed heating elements, whose resistance is 0.2 ohms;

V8 Baby Q2 – two helixes on 0.4 Ohm, moderate steam generation and a decent taste;

V8 Baby Q2 – resistance of 0.6 Ohm and two coils;

V8 baby T8 – has a resistance of 0.15 ohms and six spirals inside the case – it’ll surprise with its capabilities, and the taste will remain good whatever liquid is used for refueling;

V8 Baby RBA – a base for installation of self-made heating elements, in this case, it’s purchased separately.

Compatibility

The atomizer and the Stick X8 KIT battery module are fastened together by a 510 type connector. If necessary, the component parts of the kit can be used independently of each other, but only with devices that support this type of connection.

Battery and charging

The lower part of the device is a one-piece module into which is an unremovable, maintenance-free battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh. It’s possible to charge the built-in SMOK Stick X8 through a micro-USB port when using a cord from the kit, and it takes about 3.5 to 4 hours.

Pros and cons

Pros:

– the button is quiet, it doesn’t stick

– a tank is possible to open easily by the movement of one finger and it’s spacious with 30 milliliters of capacity

– pretty fast charging – for 2,700 mAh, a half an hour is enough

– the metal case is rounded, lays well in the hand; you’ll not experience any scratches on it

– the colors of the case are beautiful

– you can vape when charging

– vaping: 40 watts is enough for a steam and taste is well transmitted, at 50 watts, there is more steam and along with it, the taste is better; even at 70 watts, there is a lot of steam and taste is very well conveyed

Cons:

– It’s a little noisy.

– The liquid in the tank may leak if it’s not screwed tightly.

Conclusion

SMOK Stick V8 is one of the most advanced devices for a beginner steamer. The price is fully justified by its excellent quality and it’s not inferior to the quality of the goods. The device allows you not to bother with the settings, but at the same time to receive huge clouds of delicious steam. The built-in power supply allows you to immediately start to vape. The maintenance of the device is limited only to fueling, charging and infrequent replacement of the heater.

It works very well and there is a replaceable tank in the packaging. The tank is enough for a whole day and a battery for half a day. If you order from various China websites and online stores, it’ll arrive in ten days, depending on the country. If you look in local stores, the price is much higher for the same device.
