The 7 Most Common Types of People Who Vape
Like there are no two identical leaves on a tree, there are also no two identical vapers. What works for me or you, might not work for other people who vape – some of us are just getting acquainted to the world of vaping with an entry level clearomizer and simple battery, while others are constantly modifying their highly advanced setups and chasing clouds like crazy. Although it doesn’t matter which group you belong to, because the love is one – and it’s vaping, it might be fun for you to check out how we have categorized the vaping community!
- The Tester
The Tester most likely has always been a passionate smoker who has now gotten to a point when either their habit has become too expensive or they are finally concerned about their health. This guy or girl is making his/her first baby steps into the world of electronic vaporizers, so they are always comparing vaping directly to smoking. The only e-juice they really love are tobacco flavors with high nicotine content, which they impatiently drip into their CE5 clearomizers. Or, if their bonds with smoking nasty cancer sticks are too strong, they choose cigalikes, which, unfortunately, often do not satisfy their expectations of vaping. Go on, guys, you’re on the right path, just don’t look back at those analogs and consider getting a better setup! We love you!
- The Proud Beginner
The Proud Beginner has already gone through the phase of cigalikes and has upgraded to at least a nice eGo battery and a CE5. They simply love everything about e-cigarettes, have subscribed to a dozen of vaping blogs or websites and always tell their friends, colleagues – and perhaps even random strangers – about how awesome vaping is. The Proud Beginner, of course, is also on the right path, but the problem is that they have not experienced blowing real clouds of vapor yet. And, let’s be honest, their constant chit-chat about entry level vaping devices can get a bit annoying sometimes.
- The Secretive Vaper
The Secretive Vapers have acquired a good knowledge base about the subject of vaping and even admit that they like a nice, relaxing vape. However, they either can’t get used to the size of their mods or simply hate the strange looks on non-vaping peoples’ faces when they see an electronic cigarette. The Secretive Vaper often keeps a pack of tobacco cigarettes in the car or in their handbag, and if there’s a smoke break coming at work, they reluctantly light up and don’t say a word about their new habit of vaping, because they’re sure that “other people wouldn’t understand this”. But, if they’re at home and undisturbed, they power up 100 watt mods to effectively vaporize their gourmet e-juices into enormous clouds.
- The E-Cig Advocate
Are you new to vaping, need some advice? A smoker who wants to quit? Have read a lot of myths about vaping? No worries, the E-cig Advocate, if one’s around, will always help and lead your way into the world of vaping. To be honest, here at Ecigclopedia, we love these guys – that’s because they do a simply great job helping smokers end their nasty habits and start a healthier, better and smoke-free life. They often go to a great extent to explain all the pros of vaping to a beginner, and they also like to share their personal ‘smoking-to-vaping’ experience. We wish that there were more such vapers!
- The Master of All Trades
This guy or girl has already played around with rebuildables, powerful mods and even mixing their own e-liquid. The Master of All Trades is a passionate vaper who completely understands and knows almost everything related to wicks, chimneys and Ohm’s law, and, thanks to the constant juice mixing, has a quite strong background in chemistry. They look at a cigalike or an eGo battery like a huge bodybuilder looks to a skinny kid, and if they don’t go through at least 10 mg of e-liquid per day, something is very wrong. However, despite the large hauls of vaping products being delivered to their homes daily, they are not necessarily happy. That’s because they feel lost in their enormous collection of mods, clearomizers, rebuildables and e-juices, are always eager to try out something new, and can’t quite understand what do they like best.
- The Cloud Chaser
The Cloud Chaser most likely owns a Sigelei 150W or similar mod, an expensive rebuildable tank and a whole collection of different tools to help them build more and more powerful coils. They simply love creating a dense fog wherever they go, and this activity often takes place in various cloud chasing competitions. In most cases, these guys use only non-nicotine e-liquid, because they usually go through huge amounts of it. Cloud chasers also know a thing or two about vaping tricks, and they are capable to impress even non-vaping audience with their performances. We love cloud chasers, that’s the way to vape!
- The Fashion Vaper
This type of vaper always prefers looks, taste and style to function, power and ergonomics. One can always find a whole collection of the most expensive and mouth-watering e-liquids among their belongings, as well as batteries, mods and clearomizers which look like straight from a vaping fashion show (we are not quite sure – are there any?). That’s definitely not a bad thing, and we agree that vaping should not only be great and taste awesome, but also look fascinating and even sexy. However, the flashiest and aesthetically most pleasing vaping equipment doesn’t always mean the best vaping experience, so, if you belong to this group of e-cigarette users, it might be a good idea to review your gear and purchase perhaps an “uglier” but more powerful mod, and, who knows, maybe wrap it into a nice skin or a stylish case? There are tons of options out there, and, besides, a classic box mod always looks great!

I love cloud chasing and vape devices at standard ohms also. To me, the chase is more of how creative I can be, in coil/device setup, to get the biggest cloud.
Cloud chasers are vaper who are interested in modifying their devices and vaping tactics to produce so many vapors per puff that the results cannot be called anything but clouds. I also love cloud chaser, it is amazing and I enjoy this every time.
E-cigarettes, or vape pens, have been around for more than a decade but have boomed in popularity recently because of marketing to nicotine users looking for a safer alternative to smoking cigarettes Also fueling the trend is the accessibility of oil concentrates.
I was born in the 60s & they were already being called cancer sticks & coffin nails. You can say folks didn’t know how bad, but not that they didn’t know they were bad at all! That’s just stuff said by folks suing the cig companies to avoid taking responsibility for their own bad choices. I also just have to ask, do you have an OCD thing with question marks or what?
