Weed Vaping: The Advantages of Vaping Marijuana Over Smoking
Weed Vaping and the Rising Popularity of Vape Pens
Weed vaping is the method of inhaling vapor, or aerosol, produced by vaporizing a marijuana-based material. Instead of using the combustion method where smoke is produced by burning the weed, vape devices produce the vapor by heating the base material to a certain temperature. And since it doesn’t involve any kind of combustion, the vapor also lacks in all kinds of carcinogens, the byproduct of burning weed. Weed vapor also doesn’t produce the odor and lung irritants characteristic to weed and its smoking.
While there are a few vaping devices (vaporizers) available in the market, vape pen’s popularity is on the rise due to its specific design. A weed vape pen looks pretty much like a traditional fountain pen that you can carry anywhere without drawing any attention to it. Such a pen produces the desired effect by heating the flower or the cannabis oil to the point where the cannabinoids are released in vapor. Dry herb vaporizers use the actual flower while the oil vapes work with weed oils. The former of these is preferred by those who like the flavor and entourage effect of the flower while the latter is preferred by those who rather not carry around the buds everywhere they went.
Vaping Weed vs. Smoking Weed
The major difference between vaping weed and smoking it is the number of toxins consumed. While it’s not been established whether smoking weed and smoking tobacco pose the similiar, if not the same, cancer-causing risks, one thing is for certain: weed vapor contains an extremely low level of carcinogens. Carcinogens, in addition to carbon monoxide and tar, are the main cancer-causing culprits produced by the combustion method. Vaping eliminates the possibility of consuming carcinogens by taking “burning” entirely out the process.
Risk of cancer or not, weed smoke can still cause throat and lung irritation. As the American Lung Association puts it, marijuana injures the cells lining the large airways, which could lead to chronic bronchitis. Excessive phlegm and wheezy cough might ensue as symptoms.
All these risky potentials are overcome in vaping weed since the activated cannabinoids are consumed by inhaling vapor instead of smoke.
Vaping Weed and the Health Benefits
The substantial reduction in the number of toxins: While burning weed is most probably safer than smoking tobacco, it’s still not possible to avoid inhaling the carcinogens since the two share the same method of consumption. On the other hand, vaporizers heat the substance to produce vapor instead of smoke.
It’s been proven that vapors from a vaping device contain 95% of all the basic cannabinoids – the main element vapers actually aim for. However, this also means the vapor is 95% less likely to cause any kind of irritation. Compared to weed-smoke’s substantial 88% possibility of causing irritation, the difference is impossible to ignore. Since the reduction in carcinogens and the possibility of throat and lung irritation are both healthy and convenient, vaping weed is most likely the rational choice for people with medical conditions.
No more smoke: It’s safe to assume that most of us don’t enjoy coughing our brains out while trying to enjoy some relax time. Luckily, it’s not possible to cough and choke on vapor.
Any kind of smoke takes a toll on your lungs. On the other hand, weed vapor, which contains 95% of possible cannabinoids, is a water-based substance that our lungs can easily absorb within seconds. This, in turn, means you can manage a hit quickly and without multiple long draws. As an added bonus, it tastes better. When you smoke weed, you’re pretty much burning a flammable object and tasting its ashy remains. With vaping, whether it’s dry herb or weed vape juice, you taste the actual flower and its cannabinoids. The odor produced is also very limited. This is especially important for people who feel nauseated by the smell due to some kind of condition.
Vaping costs less: This might sound crazy since a wholesome setup can cost hundreds but nonetheless, that’s the reality. Vaping costs less due to its cost-effective nature, even when you buy an expensive setup.
Depending on your choice, the initial investment can be high. But from that moment on, you start making the best out of what you got. Remember that you can extract 95% of cannabinoids via vaping. And the fact that you can feel the effects much easier and quicker since your lungs can absorb the vapor rapidly. This means you use less to get more. Now consider how much you have to spend on materials like wraps, pipes, papers and bongs in case of smoking weed. It’s a continual expense, compared to the vape’s immediate, made worse by the meager 12% of cannabinoids delivered. You could say that you use more to get less.
Vaping weed heals injuries: Or rather, it offsets major damages done by smoking. It might sound farfetched until you consider the factual evidence.
Back in the early 2000s, a study was conducted with the participation of a group of regular weed smokers, all of whom suffered from some kind of respiratory condition. Each of them was given vape for 30 days and then the effects were observed. The results showed that their respiratory conditions had improved substantially. What exactly happened is, since vaping weed vape juice doesn’t involve any smoke, their bodies managed the much-needed respite to heal itself. The absence of toxins, carcinogens and other irritants made their lungs strong enough to heal the damages left by the long years of smoking. Plus, it can also undo symptomatic damages caused by illnesses.
Faster pain treatment: People smoke weed either for recreational or medicinal purposes. Managing chronic pains and aches is a major part of the latter.
Cannabis can naturally relieve pain but sometimes, when smoked, it takes a long time to become activated. Any kind of pain relief treatment depends on our body’s ability to absorb it. Since cannabis, the natural treatment, can be absorbed within seconds when inhaled as vapor, pains and aches are relieved that much quicker. This is especially important for pains that occur spontaneously like menstrual cramps.
The Legality of Weed Oil
So the benefits of vaping and weed vape juice are obvious but are they legal? The answer is extremely conditional.
If you live in states like California, Oregon, Colorado and Washington where recreational marijuana is legal, then finding the nearest dispensary with weed vape juice shouldn’t be an issue. However, if it’s Florida or Michigan, states where only medical weed is legal, then you need a medical marijuana card that’ll qualify you as cannabis-based product buyer.
Unfortunately, if your state hasn’t legalized either form of usage then you’re out of luck and can do nothing legally.
